I was always a firm believer in making easy money through online sales, always concentrating on products that earned the best revenue through minimal effort. After I identify a real cash cow product, its then time to direct more traffic and input, in turn increasing my revenue.
Most of the products that I have the best success with selling are familiar to me as I would most likely as well purchase one myself.
Familiarity and knowledge of the product you are promoting is a vital and relative part to making a sales pitch to the surfer. Your POV (point of view) as a buyer and seller will help you better market the products you are pitching.
For instance, I am very familiar with tattoos & body piercings and with my personal knowledge of both subjects I have built a nice network of sites that pertain to those products within each respective industry.
I also do very well with "scripts for webmasters", "software for webmasters" as these are products again I myself either use or would consider purchasing. My best products for 2008 were...
